Hannah lost her first tooth.

Piano Recital

The girls had a piano recital. The did a wonderful job. Chloe played Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Lily played Silent Night. Just my luck my batteries ran out so no video but I'll try to get them playing at home.

Thanksgiving

Our presents to Jesus

Our church did service for presents for Jesus. We baked cookies for a baptism and cleaned out our friends Hot Tub - she has lupus and ms. The girls had a blast doing service. I think we will make this a new family tradition.

New Moon

Had a girls night out with my friends. It was so much fun. I think the books are better than the movies but it was still fun to go. Lily wants me to take her to see it. She has already the book.

Hannah turned 5

She is growing to fast! I am so excited for her and her new adventures. Happy Birthday Hannah.

Pizza Night

With Alan working a lot Pizza is one of my favorite meals. I thought these pictures where fun!

Halloween

This is my least favorite Holiday - exactly what is the purpose? - but as a kid I loved it so being the good mom we had to participate and my kids were more than excited. It was fun watching Sadie hold out her little hand and say "treat" to everyone.

It's a BOY! Buddy Wizard Sears

We got a new Puppy last Friday. Poor thing was covered in fleas and knots but a good bath and a few snips and he's looking better already. The girls can't love him enough. They treat him like their little baby and he follows them around the house. He is doing well on the house training and sleeps in the crate all night so I can't be more pleased. What a good puppy.

He is a Maltese full breed but because they gave him to us they didn't give us any paper work. I guess because he was 5 months old and they couldn't sell him, he wasn't worth the trouble. Poor guy, their loss our gain.

call to action

I'm posting this for journal sake. I just think Presidents Obama was great.

Lesa --

This morning, Michelle and I awoke to some surprising and humbling news. At 6 a.m., we received word that I'd been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009.

To be honest, I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many of the transformative figures who've been honored by this prize -- men and women who've inspired me and inspired the entire world through their courageous pursuit of peace.

But I also know that throughout history the Nobel Peace Prize has not just been used to honor specific achievement; it's also been used as a means to give momentum to a set of causes.

That is why I've said that I will accept this award as a call to action, a call for all nations and all peoples to confront the common challenges of the 21st century. These challenges won't all be met during my presidency, or even my lifetime. But I know these challenges can be met so long as it's recognized that they will not be met by one person or one nation alone.

This award -- and the call to action that comes with it -- does not belong simply to me or my administration; it belongs to all people around the world who have fought for justice and for peace. And most of all, it belongs to you, the men and women of America, who have dared to hope and have worked so hard to make our world a little better.

So today we humbly recommit to the important work that we've begun together. I'm grateful that you've stood with me thus far, and I'm honored to continue our vital work in the years to come.

Thank you,

President Barack Obama

Picture Day

I just can't spend money on school pictures when I can get better pictures from the picture people but then I spend too much money because I have such beautiful girls. All the pictures are so good.

Sadie get's her big girl bed

Sadie learned how to crawl out of her crib. She got so good at it she would do it in the middle of the night. So, time for the big girl bed. I'm sad to see my baby grow up. Why can't they stay little?

Allergies?

Woke up one morning with Lily complaining that her ear was itchy. Then a few hours later she was complaining of not feeling well. I told her to take a bath she got out of the tub with hives all over and the her eyes were almost swollen shut and her poor face was as big as a pumpkin. Poor little girl Daddy took her to the ED and they gave her some ointment I had been giving her benadryl every 4 hours and the next morning we took her to the doctor. A few weeks later we had her tested for allergies. The result HOUSE DUST. That's eat no milk or peanuts or anything that I was expecting so now I have to keep a food journal for her and see if it happens again. Poor little girl.
